The Beca scholarship program ensures every young person in our community has access to quality education, whether at public school, The Palapa School, or at University. With scholarships, students are given the opportunity to discover and maximize their full potential, as they prepare to become future pillars in our community. We are proud to announce that Palapa School ninth-grader Paola Parra Leggs was selected to receive the American Field Service (AFS) scholarship to study technology and environmental care in Cairo, Egypt this summer. Our Social Sciences teacher Ana Castillo discovered this scholarship and motivated three of our students to apply. Applications for The Palapa School Secundaria enrollment (middle school, grades 7-9) are available now at the school’s main office. Interviews and testing will take place May 18-25. The Palapa School offers an expanded SEP-certified curriculum that not only meets Federal Government education requirements, but offers a more advanced course of study. Please
The Palapa School offers students an advanced, SEP-certified curriculum with a focus on science, computers, and mathematics. We are proud to announce that on March 8, a total of six Palapa School students, two from each grade, will be competing against students from Northern and Southern Baja at The Mexican Mathematics Olympiad, also known as the Olimpiada Mexicana de Matemáticas.
