The Palapa School Preparatoria proudly opened its classrooms in 2018. High school is a critical time as teens grow into young adults. During these formative years, The Palapa School continues to champion high academic achievement, rigorous curriculum, dynamic classrooms, and hands-on lessons in order to build skills in higher levels of math, language, science and the arts. As a result, more opportunities are provided for real-world experience with a focus on creativity, collaboration, and commitment to family, community, and the world. The combination builds a community of young adults who have the potential to become the doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, artists, and the leaders of the future.
With a SEP-designated specialization in community development, Preparatoria students discover the value of their own voice and experience for themselves the difference they can make. Participation in community activities makes use of their academic skills while cultivating leadership and strengthening their confidence and sense of purpose. Students graduate prepared to excel at University or in the professional world. Graduates of the Preparatoria School proudly receive their academic diploma as well as a certification of completion in community development.
